The Benefits of Using Compost:

  • Lawns will establish faster and have stronger root development.
  • Grass seed will germinate faster.
  • Lawns will have a darker color and be more resistant to diseases and insects as a result of being healthier.
  • Plants will grow faster bigger and stronger in more productive soil.
  • Healthier plants will produce more blooms and also more fruit.
  • Healthier plants are also more resistant to diseases and pests.
  • Adding compost to soils improves air, water, nutrients and root movement through the soil for both lawns and plants.
  • Soils improved with compost will retain moisture and nutrients longer than an un-improved soil. Nutrients are then more likely to be absorbed over longer periods of time.
  • Improved nutrient uptake is beneficial to lawns and plants and is better for the environment.
  • Adding compost to soils will improve the environment for soil organisms which contribute to good health and growth for both lawns and plants
  • Compost will generally assist in improving soil pH, contributing to improved nutrient uptake.
  • Plants grown in depleted soils will be less vigorous, more prone to drought stress, diseases and insect damage.
  • It is significantly easier to develop deeper roots in improved soils.
  • Improved soils look better, feel better, perform better and is easier to work with.
