This is the time of year that insects are settling down for their long winter nap. How about we tuck them in so well they never wake up?

Apply Bonide All Seasons Horticultural and Dormant Oil Spray to fruit and shade trees, some veggies, broadleaf evergreens and other ornamentals, flowers and even houseplants. Do not use on conifers, ferns, or Japanese Maples. See the label for other exceptions.

Plants most frequently in need of an application include Hollies, Camellias, Gardenias and Fruit Trees.

It covers a good list of difficult insects like scale, mealybugs, whitefly, thrips, mites, and others like aphids, fungus gnats and leafminers.

This product is listed for Organic Gardening and works by smothering the insects and their eggs. Apply in temperature ranges of 40 to 90 degrees. Wait 30 days for any re-applications if needed.

Bonide All Seasons Horticultural and Dormant Oil Spray comes in a handy 32 ounce, ready to spray, hose end attachment sprayer. Just hook it up, turn on the water and give those insects a new winter coat.
